Manly Scenic Walkway:
View the beautiful Middle harbour. This walk takes you
from the Spit Bridge to Manly Cove. The Manly Scenic Walk
is a visually stunning experience as it shows you the
native bushland meeting the modern world and also all
the historical attractions and places of interest around
the harbour.
Marine Parade:
Lined with million dollar houses over looking the fabulous
Northern Beaches this walk is one that is relaxing and
very visually stunning. The walk takes you from South
Steyne to Shelly Beach. All along this walkway are sculptures
which show the harmony and serenity of the surrounding
natural beauty. Visitors to Manly should put this as a
must do if they like to take in the beautiful views of
the beach.
When exiting from Manly's ferry or Jetcat
you will most probably make a beeline straight for the
beach, a few short minutes along the Manly Corso's shopping
strip. The friendly staff at the visitor information centre
are always happy to give you tips from where to eat to
where to stay.
No internet facilities here but you can collect the
BTA discount card from the
counter.
BTA personal
tip for a great day outdoors is definately the walk along
the promenade and around to Shelley Beach. Nestled in
a little cove a stones throw from one of Sydney's legendary
surf spots, The Bower.
You will find a great little cafe located
at halfway beach (half-way around the promenade) and with
awesome waterviews or travel a little further to enjoy
a nice cool beer on the sand at Le Kiosk, one of Manly's
premier historic restaurants.
