Day Two
We leave at about 9am, after enjoying a full cooked country
breakfast. You will have the opportunity to get dirty whilst
experiencing life on an Australian sheep and cattle property.
You will have a chance to be involved in the day to day farm
activities such as shearing, lamb marking, drenching and yabbying
or fishing in the farm's dams.
A farm lunch will be provided, and you will be able to cook
and eat the yabbies you caught. Return approximately 5pm.
After a full day's activities, sit back, have a drink and enjoy
another yummy dinner with complimentary drink.
Day Three
Beginning at about 9am, a day of adventure is ensured as we
visit Tumut, situated in the Snowy Mountains High Country. Tumut
is close to the great dams of the Snowy Mountains Scheme and
is also well known for spectacular scenery, beautiful autumn
colours and timber milling.
There is a choice of activities:
- Hire a canoe or kayak and paddle down the Tumut River.
- Get a bird's eye view as you experience the thrill of flying
in a microlite (a powered hang glider)
- For those who prefer to stay on solid ground, why not hire
a bicycle or tandem and take in the beautiful scenery whilst
cycling around Tumut.
- You may be more interested in seeing the countryside on
horseback, scenic trail rides are also available.
On return to your accommodation, at about 5pm, dinner will
be served with complimentary drink.
Day 4
Today we travel to Canberra where you will be dropped off in
the city and you can spend time enjoying the Nation's Capital
including:
Parliament House, Royal Australian Mint, Old Parliament House,
National Museum, Telstra Tower, National Library and Gallery
and the Institute of Sport.
We arrive in Canberra at about 12.30 pm. Backpacker accommodation
is available in the city. From Canberra you can make your own
way back to Sydney or continue on your travels from here.
Tour Costing
$320.00 including GST
per person/twin share. Cost includes dinner, bed and breakfast,
bicycle hire day 1, lunch on day 2, farm day activities, midi
of beer or soft drink, or glass of wine with evening meal, coach
travel from Sydney, conveyances day 2 and 3 and return to Canberra
on day 4.
Prices for optional extra activities are available on request.
Our coach is a luxury 5 star touring coach equipped with cloth
reclining seats, television and video, water fountain and air
conditioning for your travelling comfort.
