TROUT FISHING SAFARIS OF TASMANIA

Tasmania is truly the last great undiscovered wild trout fishery in the world and the team here at Backpacker Tours can't wait to try this one out. A real Aussie getaway.  Crystal clear lakes, fresh air, log cabins, open fires and good Aussie tucker!

Your guide Bill Beck is widely regarded as one of the best fish catching guides in Tasmania.  Bill has been flyfishing the Tasmanian Highlands since 1962 and has been a guide for the past 19 years.

Bill is also considered to be a bit of a dab hand in the kitchen and can usually whip up a great meal while drinking a beer and telling lots of tall fishing tales. The "not to be missed"--Beer Battered trout and Tasmanian home grown pinkeye potatoes are a speciality.
