Only a short journey from Sydney, the central coast has grown at a considerable rate over the last 10 years. These towns were established in the early pioneering days with timber mills and coal mines providing the majority of employment. Today a more leisurely coastal lifestyle exists and can be enjoyed wherever you choose. Beaches are numerous as are surf breaks.  A few worth mentioning are Mcmasters, Avoca, Terrigal, Forresters, Bateau Bay, Blue Lagoon, Shelly Beach, Towoon Bay and The Entrance.

The surrounding area provides many different activites to be enjoyed with eco-tours such as kayaking, canoeing, 4WD day trips, abseiling, bushwalking, rockclimbing, horseriding and you could always check out the local reptile and wildlife park!

Newcastle is the oldest city in this region and to prove it you will find a pub on almost every corner, of course not all of them still trade. Historic buildings and terrace houses line streets and the tall chimney stacks of Newcastle fame,  are still in use. Only a short drive north-west and you will find yourself in the lush countryside of the Hunter Valley wine region.
