Syney is the main city in New South Wales. Backpacker hostel accommodation in Sydney presents a challange. Not because it is difficult to find, but rather ... difficult to choose.

You are able to book various activities ranging from canyoning and white water rafting, surfing, abseiling into underground caves, skydiving, horseriding and the list goes on and on, but remember to do your research before jumping in. Not all tours and activities are the same.

New South wales has many popular locations which everyone says you just have to experience and without a doubt, Byron Bay is one of them but don't forget to do a little research to find those hidden places where the buses don't arrive 4 times a day to unload passengers and you don't have to wait in queues to order a cold beer....plan well, take your time and see as much as you can... who knows when you'll be back?

To venture away from the so called "backpacker highway" with the usual stops between Sydney and Cairns - there are plenty of campervan hire options that make 'doing it your own way on the highway" cheap and easy.
