Townsville is located 350km south of Cairns and situated on the tropical coastline known as The Green corridor. Being the most populated town in the Far North, Townsville will give thegone troppo traveler a chance to stock up on supplies and update oneself with world events. 

The ghost ship Yongala, was wrecked off Townsville in 1911 and is said to be a beautiful dive. Its once finely polished timber balustrades now alive with an underwater world of colourful coral and a myriad of sea life. Ask around and you'll hear its the best! 

Ferries depart regularly for Magnetic Island, the Koala Capital of Australia. Only 8km and 20 minutes from Townsville and with 23 bays (all unique), you can hike or take a boat to all and reef walk at low acide from one, barbeque and bird watch at others.
