Adventurers Backpackers, a clean, comfortable and inexpensive backpackers resort.

We have a selection of rooms from 6-share dorms to doubles, twins, singles and large doubles and a few family rooms, that sleep up to 4 people. All prices are very reasonable and aimed at the traveler on a budget.

We are close to the CBD in Townsville (just a short 10/15 minute walk along the popular and trendy Palmer Street, with all it's restaurants and cafe's). Our beautiful 'Strand' beach area is also close by and is a must see for all visitors as is Castle Hill - which has a wonderful 360 view of all of Townsville and surrounding areas, a great spot at sunrise or sunset!

Reception is open from 8.30a.m. until 8.00 p.m. and we pride ourselves on having very knowledgeable and friendly staff that can assist in making all arrangements for you, be it for a day in Townsville, a trip to Magnetic Island, a dive on the fantastic Yongala wreck, a PADI learn to dive course, a day trip snorkeling to the Great Barrier Reef or even a day in the Tropical North Queensland rainforest...

Directions

From the bus station - take a local bus (city loop) it costs $1 and will drop you right at our door. We are a 15 minute walk from city centre, just cross the Ross River and walk down Palmer Street to the bottom, we are just behind the Metropole hotel
