Kangaroo Island

Kangaroo Island is an unspoiled, wildernsess paradise. With 450km of rugged coastline it is world renowned for white sandy beaches and crystal blue waters.

On the south coast, Admirals Arch at Cape du Couedic and the sand dunes of Little Sahara are only two of the scenic highlights easily found on the island. Rocky caverns can be explored in true Robinson Crusoe style and you could even catch your own crayfish in Vivonne Bay which is a base for this industry. The island has something to offer everyone, from the great surfing beaches at Pennington or Stokes Bay.

The abundance of native wildlife and marine mammals brings travelers from all over the world. You will be amazed at the large number of native Australian animals living on the island and as the name implies, kangaroos are a frequent sight, if not a daily one.

The climate found in this part of the world makes this island totally unique. Wildflowers bloom all year round and the weather never lets you down. You can enjoy summers that aren’t too hot and relatively mild winters.

Kangaroo Island Sealink ferry departs from Cape Jervis twice daily and provides a comfortable 40 minute journey to the island. You could spend at least five days touring the island and not visit the same place twice so be prepared to allow for a few days at the very least, or you’ll end up wishing you had.
