Devonport, Burnie, Ulverstone, Stanley, Cradle Mountain, Lake Mackintosh

Devonport is a low lying town that is nicely spread out along the Mersey River. A busy city, where you can visit art galleries and cultural centres or enjoy a quiet drink in the pub of your choice. When the Bass Strait swells are working, the surfs up at local beaches and as long as you have a wetsuit there should be nothing else to stop you.

South west of Devonport are Gunns Plains Caves, unique with their huge stalactites and underground waterways they provide a safe haven for little creatures like the platypus. The largest lobsters in the world are farmed nearby in Leven Canyon and a little further south is Cradle Mountain with its unusually shaped wind swept peaks and abandoned fishing shacks.

This area is magnificent for hiking, photographic expeditions and for your pure enjoyment. Join one of the treks heading into this area and enjoy a pre planned tour with those that know the area best.
