Brisbane Information

Brisbane is the capital of Queensland. Brisbane is a lively city that's great to visit, it is situated in the south east of Queensland.

Brisbane has excellent public transport, buses go far and wide and catamarans go up and down the Brisbane river, numerous train stations can take you around Brisbane or out to see the rest of Australia. Brisbane International Airport is located just outside the city with an airtrain running from the city to the airport in 20 minutes. Brisbane is a great city to walk or bike around. Tickets bought for Brisbane public transport can be used on trains, ferries and buses.

Brisbane has many museums and galleries to visit, or how about rock climbing along the Brisbane river at Kangaroo Point, perhaps climbing Brisbane's Story Bridge, visit the planetarium or hire a bike and ride on hundreds of kilometres of bike paths. Maybe a ghost tour would get you going.

Pubs and clubs are abundant in Brisbane. Brisbane has a great live music scene being home to many of Australia's top bands. Brisbane theatres are great for drama and arts. Situated in Brisbane city center is the Treasury Casino, open 24 hours a day.

There is a lot on offer in Brisbane, being so close to the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast it is a great stop on the way around Australia.
