Most people from all over this wonderful planet come to the Northern Territory of Australia just to see the majestic beauty of Uluru and Kakadu National Park with thousands of Aboriginal art sites and of course numerous natural wonders and waterfalls such as Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls. Kakadu offers numerous walking tracks and the campsites are scattered throughout. Arnhemland lies to the east and entry can only be gained once a permit has been obtained through the authorites - if you are interested in visiting this sacred native titled land we have listed a tour company specialising in these tours, see the tours index below.
The small township of Darwin is the capital of the NT with the majority of tours departing from here. Its hot so travel light if you can, with an average yearly temperature in the 30’s we advise that you drink lots of water during the day ( a headache from dehydration however mild, is not fun). The coastal area of Darwin is also littered with stingers and box jellyfish therefore you can’t swim in the ocean but nevertheless you will have well and truly had ,your fill of sun, sand and surf by the time you leave us.
Salt water crocs can grow up to 6 metres in length and have been known to eat cows for breakfast. Serious! Sign posts will not always be posted to advise you of where not to swim so we advise that you don't go off to secluded swimming spots unless absolutely certain it's a croc free zone.
