Ferries depart regularly for Magnetic Island, the
Koala Capital of Australia. Only 8km and 20 minutes from Townsville
and with 23 bays (all unique), you can hike or take a boat to all and
reef walk at low tide from one, barbeque and bird watch at others. (There
are 160 species of bird life on the Island today).
