Dryandra State Forest, Nambung National Park, The Pinnacles
The Heartlands has some of the richest farmland in the area, so with all of the homesteads you are able to have what we like to call "farm stays" (sleep on a farm). This is rural Western Australia.
National parks are a big attraction for many travellers and this region doesn't let you down. Dryandra State Forest is a good starting point covering 27,000 hectares (66,718 acres) and having more than 100 different species of birds as well as one of Western Australia's rarest mammals, the numbat. A quick mention must go to the Pinnacles. These bazaar landforms stand amongst a lunar-like landscape. and jut straight out of the ground which is quite eerie to say the least. Located in the Nambung National Park, The Pinnacles are one of Western Australia's significant natural attractions and one that no visitor should miss. Moving towards the west coast and it's water activity time again. This coastline provides some of the best windsurfing conditions in the State (we are told world-class standard). The beaches here are long and white and the water, like all over ...clean and blue.
