More information

The top end of Western Australia has quite a few claims to fame. One of the better ones along side it's incredibly unique beauty is the fact that it is considered to have fewer people per kilometer than any other place on the planet. With an area of 420,000 square kilometers and a population of around 25,000 (16.8 people per square kilometer).

Geikie Gorege

The Kimberley's diversity is staggering. From the pristine beaches along the coast (check out Cable beach) to the weird and wonderful outback sculptures of the Bungle Bungle, it never ends.

There is also the Fitzroy river that has gouged it's way through cliffs hundreds of feet high (Geikie Gorge) and the pearling town of Broome where you can see a working pearl farm (Willie Creek Pearl Farm) and learn more about the many interesting facets of the pearling industry.

This area has so much to see, and it's big....so plan well for this, book in advance and don't forget your camera, because there really is no place like it on earth.
