If you are
looking to experience & discover Northern Australia's Natural and

These tours are not five star luxury coach tours.
You will not be pampered, you will get hot and a little dirty, you are
expected to be of reasonable physical ability to undertake all activities
but you will
enjoy a truly unique and memorable experience.
With Gondwana 4WD Expeditions you will gain a great appreciation of the

Gondwana's guides are specifically chosen for their Experience, Knowledge
and Genuine interest in the area. Many of them have formal education
in Earth or Animal sciences and at least four years experience as guides.

The following
information applies to all Gondwana Expeditions.

All Tours
depart Darwin 7am - with pick up available from all City or Suburban
Accommodation.

All
Tours return to Darwin at approximately 9.30pm on the last evening.

All
travel items as listed below, can be carried within a small
day-pack. Large backpacks are only carried on one way tours,
on all other tours they should be left in storage at either your hostel or
with us.

Meals: In most cases all
meals are catered for, excluding
Breakfast on the morning of
departure and the Evening meal on the
last day. Drinking Water is provided
at all times. Transport: All transport
as required to fulfil itinerary.
Excludes
costs associated with connecting
to tour, emergency evacuations or
missed connections.
Camping equipment:
Twin share tents and sleep mats are provided, all cooking utensils
and cutlery provided and camp stools.
Cruise:
All Kakadu tours include the
private wildlife cruise on the
Mary River system.

| DAY 1:
Pick-up from your accommodation at 7am. After picking up our fresh fruit and vegetables we make our way out of
Darwin. Today
we take an early morning cruise on the Mary River.
Using small boats we explore the Mary river wetlands at Shady
Camp viewing a stunning array of birds and of course the
formidable Estaurine Crocodile. We travel on into Kakadu and late
afternoon we take a walk around Ubirr Rock to view
Aboriginal Artsites and spectacular scenery. Learn more about the
Aboriginal lifestyle and culture as we climb to the top for a 360 degree
view over floodplains and the Arnhemland Escarpment. Overnight
camp at Sandy billabong

DAY 2:
Up bright & early for
breakfast and to watch a magical sunrise over the billabong. We
set off to utilise our 4WD and make the journey in to
the Jim Jim and Twin Falls region. Spend most of the day walking
and swimming as we explore the Twin falls area.
Awe inspiring views of the gorge and cool cascading waterfalls make this
a very exciting day. An afternoon visit to Jim Jim
to view the escarpment walls glow red in the afternoon sun.

DAY 3
Today is spent walking, swimming and
exploring Maguk before our final leg of the journey
into Darwin. Once again as we travel home in the dark this is our
last chance to spot some wildlife. Arrive back in Darwin
at approximately 9.00pm. (B, L)

| DAY
1: Pick-up from your accommodation at 7am. After
picking up our fresh fruit and vegetables we make our way out
of Darwin. Travelling down the Stuart highway we turn onto
the Arnhem highway and cross over two major river systems of the
region: the Adelaide and Mary rivers. Viewing a mixture of wetlands
and scherophyl woodlands as we make our way towards Kakadu, we
turn just after Annaburru and travel to Maguk
via the 'old Darwin road'. Mid afternoon
is spent walking, swimming and exploring Maguk
before making our way to Nawurlandja lookout
to watch the sun produce some amazing colors on the escarpment
walls as the sun sets. Overnight camp at Sandy
billabong and enjoy a sumptuous chicken stir fry as the
main meal. ( L,D )
DAY 2:
Up bright & early for breakfast and to watch a
magical sunrise over the billabong. After breaking camp we
set off to utilise our 4WD and make the journey in to
the Jim Jim and Twin Falls region. Spend most of the day walking
and swimming as we explore the Twin falls area.
Awe inspiring views of the gorge and cool cascading waterfalls make this
a very exciting day. Overnight Jim Jim campground and sample a
selection of unique meats: crocodile, kangaroo and bufallo.

DAY 3:
This morning we walk to the top of Jim Jim falls
for a magnificent view of the gorge system and the plunge pool 200m
below. Refresh yourself in the cascading pools before making our
return down to the plunge pool below. After all this rigorous
exercise all you will want to do is lay down and relax on the sand bar
and admire the scenery. Leaving this remarkable area is hard.
A delicous pasta meal will restore your lost energy for the final day

DAY 4:
This morning we head further north to
the East Alligator river area. We take a walk around Ubirr
Rock to view Aboriginal Artsites and spectacular scenery.
Learn more about the Aboriginal lifestyle and culture as we climb to the
top for a 360 degree view over floodplains and the Arnhemland Escarpment
before making our way out of Kakadu along the
Arnhem highway and on to our boat cruise on the Mary River.
Using small boats we explore the Mary river wetlands at Shady
Camp in the late afternoon viewing a stunning array of birds
and of course the formidable Estaurine Crocodile. Watch yet
another sensational sunset before our final leg of the journey into
Darwin. Once again as we travel home in the dark this is our last
chance to spot some wildlife. Arrive back in Darwin at

| DAY
1:
Pick-up from your accommodation at 7am.
After picking up our fresh fruit and vegetables we make our way
out of Darwin. Travelling down the Stuart highway we turn
onto the Cox Peninsula road and travel the 'back' way to
Litchfield. Viewing an array of amzing Termite mounds enroute
we reach the splendid Wangi Falls mid morning.
After a walk through the monsoon forest surrounding the falls,
we continue on and travel to the more remote location of Sandy
Creek Falls. Here we can take a walk into
the falls and escape the crowds a little. After a refreshing
swim and lunch we travel back out, stopping at Tolmer
falls enroute to Florence Falls. A final
refreshing swim before we depart to our overnight camp near Kakadu.

Today
