AY UP SRANGER'S The date 01/01/2012

MY name is Richie im 21 year's of age and the time for change has come, Im an Englishman from the North in a dead-end job witch i hate and have done for five year to proud to sighn on i guess and uni/college is certainly not for me. Im at crossroads in my life and feel lost i need time-out and hope a year in australia will give me some clarity and adventure wich i yern for.
The plan is to start in Brisbane were a pal of mine lives just till i sort out some wheels i plan for a toyota helux wich i shall modify to my my need's i/e bed storage ect. then drive up the east coast past cairns to the tip of australia with surf bourd in toe stopping were ever i please from there ial be heading west to Darwin then on to broome with my trusty camera wich i dabble in photography im also a wild-life fanatic so should be awsome. From broome then on down the west coast to Pearth from then i shall head for the great central road of australia to ayre's rock. mainly wanting to spend alot of my time in the tropics and desert's of australia and meating new people is always a plus. From Ayre's rock south is the plan to Adalaid Then on to Melbourn and Canberra through the great open road of australia then Sydney bound before working my way back up to Brisbane.
I have a shoe string of a budget of £10.000 i shall have to be wise with i plan for a year's traveling visa as i dont wish to work wich is one main reason for this journey alough the extended period year does sound tempting. The core of mans' spirit comes from new experiences and The freedom and simple beauty is too good to pass up...
Any advice shall be greatfully recieved.

Hey

I've no doubt that you're well into your journey by now and am sure that you're loving every minute of it.  How can you not! Australia is the most fantastic country on the world.  I've only just discovered these forum thingys (bit behind the times me thinks), however I am also from the UK, so want to give you some advice.  Mainly, be chilled and have fun.  Sometimes travelling can be stressful, but that's not the plan.  I've travelled most the way round now.  At first I booked all my tours as and when, but then I booked a package with spam removed by Admin., they have a special online free travel planning service.  NOt sure if you've heard of them but had really good service and saved loads of money and had special tickets so under no real time restriction.  I don't usually harp on about stuff, but these guys were really impressive.  Other tips - surf plenty, drink plenty, eat plenty, take lots of photos, and make sure everyone at home is jealous of you!  He he!  spam link removed by Admin. is the address if you're interested by-the-way.  So long traveller ...
