Hey everyone,

I'm a full time student studying my last year of high school and after 13 years of studying i want to go backpacking in 2012 before starting uni. I am from Australia and havn't really made up my mind where i would like to go...i was thinking Turkey and Greece because i was an exchange student in Turkey and have family over there. I do have a budget also.

Emancipation  Grin

Any suggestions or anything?

G'day shelbz66,

Firstly, welcome to the forums. Hi

Next, my recommendation is to see your own country before heading overseas!  It can be quite embarrassing when overseas folks ask you questions about your country and you can't answer them!!  In your shoes, I'd do a few coach tours of Australia, such as seeing the Great Barrier Reef, the Kimberley area, Sydney city, Ulura (Ayers Rock), the Daintree forest, Cairns, the Barossa Valley; you know, the sort of things that people abroad have heard about. Wink  Explore your own state first and work outwards, THEN go overseas!

We have masses to see and do here in Australia, so why not look up some of our group tours?  They're great fun too! Grin
