Good cheap places are often the clubs. So long as you do not live in the area of the club you will get in with a drving licence or passport. Some places are not strict. The prices are often really good and many are in excellent places and the surf clubs are on the beach

I agree! Any of the surf clubs, the football clubs or even the RSL clubs. You need to show ID normally and if you are from out of town you just get let in as a guest. RSL clubs are also a cheap night out if you want to go and see bands - normally old school bands who've been touring for a million years but at least you'll know the music and the beer is cheap!!!

Don't forget street stalls. I mean Australia is not really known for it but if you're drunk and out late at night you'll run into the hot dog sellers and kebab shops. Good cheap and filling food! Probably dubious quality but you won't care if you're a bit under the weather. There aren't too many 24 hour places to eat so it's not like you have much choice!

Going club hopping was always great and there's nothing better than a good band playing in front of you and a good cold beer in your hand. Smile
