As you are probably aware (especially if you've recently entered the country), in Australia, we take biosecurity very seriously in order to keep the country free of some of the pests and diseases which have affected or even decimated other areas of the world.

In order to keep Australia free of these nasties, the Australian Government would like your help.  Please take a moment to look at the Government website Biosecurity for Travelling Farm Workers.  There, you will get a better understanding of the things you can do to help stop the import or spread of diseases and pests.

If you don't have time to look at it right away, please at least download their brochure (Vital information for travelling farm workers - PDF [266kb]) to read at your leisure.

I thank you and all other Australians will also thank you for your help.  Oh, and having this knowledge may even help you to get a farm job if you mention it. Wink Grin
