Hunter Valley Travel Information

Just a two hour drive from Sydney the Hunter Valley is known worldwide for its famous fine wines. There are over 120 wineries here and the are numerous opportunities to take a wine tasting tour where you can sample many wines of different types, white, reds, rose. Many of these wineries off not only wines but full restaurant services and you can taste some of the local gourmet foods.

For those of you seeking something a little more lively how about a tandem sky dive amongst other Hunter Valley Tours. Back to the adrenaline junkie, there are a number of plane rides you can take such as a gentle flight in a WW2 vintage plane or get daring and book a flight in one of the jet fighters. Helicopter wine cruises are also a lot of fun as you are dropped at the next winery in a helicopter. Many people have used these choppers for weddings and anniversaries.

There are some wonderful towns to visit in the area with quite a bit of history with many historical displays and galleries. Arts and craft stores as well as antique shops are plentiful in the area.
